Welcome to our Art Gallery.
Here is an illustration of the colorful style of Cubism: -
I, Vijay Simhadri, take painting as just a hobby of mine, and here are some of my colorful digital paintings.
My digital painting is self-learnt and I take an interest in what I digitally paint.
My aspiration is that an observer of this website shares the same view.
The digital paintings here are my own originals unless stated and are not for sale, they purely cater as a gallery for observation.
Cubism is a style, devised by the renowned Spanish artist, Picasso, where geometric shapes such as squares and triangles create an overall picture.
Abstract Art is a type of art which has little reference to nature.
These digital paintings are made by myself and mimic the style as well as the atmosphere of the founder of Abstraction & Cubism, namely Pablo Picasso.
Most of these paintings are an example of the art movement of synthetic cubism, illustrated frequently like an art 'collage'.
Synthetic Cubism took the movement to its extreme -- all sense of three-dimensionality disappeared. Instead of breaking down and reassembling facets of the original image, it was a matter of synthesizing entirely new, expansive structures. Sometimes the subject was recognizable as a unified structure; at other times, it was hardly legible. Instead, artists started using collage methods; overlapping various media; and including words, graphics and patterns, to achieve a desired thematic result. Colors were much brighter, geometric forms were more distinct, and textures began to emerge with additives like sand, paper or gesso. Picasso's "Bowl of Fruit" and Braque's "Bottle, Newspaper, Pipe and Glass" are in the Synthetic style.
In simplicity, Synthetic Cubism is where small shapes creatively build a picture.

Essentially, these paintings are really abstract, where plenty of ideas are used to depict something they represent. You can see with close observation there is a sense of Abstract Expressionism.
"Abstract Expressionism is where expression is used to illustrate Abstract Art."
There are also digital paintings depicting Abstract Surrealism like the highly acclaimed painter Salvador Dali (Spain).
"Abstract Surrealism is Abstract art showing unreal imaginative scenes."
I am very liberal and you may freely copy or reproduce these digital paintings without my express permission for non-commercial purposes only.
I have painted my own digital paintings inspired by the style of 15th Century Sandro Botticelli (Italy), 18th Century painter, John Constable (England), 19th Century painters, Pierre-Auguste Renoir (France), Albert Bierstadt (Germany/USA),Edward Hopper(USA), James Whistler(USA), Henri Lautrec (France), Mark Rothko (US/Russian),Amedeo Modigliani(Italy) & Piet Mondrian (Holland).
I have my own digital paintings that enhance & are painted from three very famous original paintings, namely, 'Mona Lisa' by Leonardo da Vinci, 'Three Sunflowers in a Vase' by Vincent Van Gogh and 'The Scream' by Edvard Munch. These are not for sale and these three exclusive paintings are not copyrighted.
These are all under the submenus of, 'Home' and 'Famous Artists & Works'. All the Art under these menus are my own digital paintings of different famous Artists' paintings or original paintings of my own, imitating the painting style of various famous artists.
I have here on this website also some Pastel Art, Realistic Art, and some sketchy art. These don't refer to cubism.
I welcome positive comments. I hope you find the artworks beautiful and moreover appreciate them.
Thanking you,
